ABOUT

Working with found objects, Logan Marks employs antiquated remnants of utility in site-specific installation, assemblages, and photography. Rusting industrial material or tossed-out household junk is reestablished into altered scale and situation. Dioramic constructions consider landscape, lighting, and the viewer’s interactions to prompt consideration of environmental substance. Often, his works are composed of old digital devices or leftover commercial products in combination with raw materials and organic matter. Logan received a BFA in Sculpture from Indiana University in 2011 and is currently an MFA candidate in the Visual Arts at Stony Brook University where he also works as an art instructor and gallery preparator.
